All:  Our next campout is Sep 12-14 at nearby Camp Crown.  The primary activity will be a cooking competition.  We also plan to do some pioneering (building camp gadgets out of rope and wood poles).

All - The PLC is interested in going to Eagle Cave for our February campout.  This is a fun one where you'll sleep in the cave after spending the day exploring the miles and miles of tunnels and caverns.  

Scouts:  We need two volunteers to serve as emcees for the Sep 28 Court of Honor.  Emcees organize the agenda, recruit other scouts to present, and host the live event.  These are requirements for Communications merit badge.  If you have not served as emcee before or need Communications MB, please consider volunteering.  You'll work with Mr Audette and Mrs Cornell to get everything organized in the week or two before the event.

Scouts: We are missing quite a few tents.  If you have a troop tent from the last campout, or last year, please bring it to an upcoming meeting.

Hello Parents,

Please join the Troop Committee for an informative session supporting the development of our youth.  We will review current status, budget, growth, and program support.  This meeting will be held in Social Hall at First Presbyterian Church on Monday, August 25, during the Troop Meeting.

The fall campouts have been planned.  Please mark your calendars.  We hope to see you there!

Aug 15-17:  Indiana Dunes (beach, dune hiking)

Sep 12-14:  Camp Crown, Trevor WI (pioneering or patrol cooking challenge)

Oct 17-19:  Blackwell, Winfield IL (Cantigny war museum, orienteering course)

Nov 14-16: Camp Crown (Ultimate Games, Webelos recruiting event)
